Welcome to Country Bay Manor, Nanoose Bay


Thank you for considering the waterfront, Country Bay Manor Bed and Breakfast. It is a luxurious and spa like, private 2 bedroom B&B, set in 5-acres of natural, West-coast beauty, and situated on the ocean in Nanoose Bay and in the hub of activity on central Vancouver Island, BC, Canada.

 

The ocean front property faces south into Nanoose Bay, and has easy access to the beach and water. At low tide, take long walks on the pebble beach and explore the estuary tidal flats, and view the oyster farm in the distance, also situated on the bay. When the tide is in, kayaks can be launched from the front gate of the property where you can enjoy watching the many birds, including Blue Herons, geese, ducks, Swans, as well as Eagles, all while paddling the calm waters of the bay. B&B offers complementary use of 4 adults, and 2 children's Kayaks.

The Manor is semi detached to the home, and separated by a connecting hallway, and door, has it's own private outside entrance into Bed and Breakfast guest wing, where it comfortably sleeps 4 people, more suitable for adults. There are two bedrooms each with a queen-sized bed, a large bathroom adjacent to each bedroom, has a shower/tub, and a private sitting room where you will enjoy spectacular views, overlooking the estuary and ocean from the comfort of your couch. This is also where you will enjoy a delicious breakfast, which includes a selection of organic cereals, freshly baked scones, or homemade muffins, variety of breads, seasonal fruit yogurt parfaits, or fruit salad, or an apple rose pastry, hard boiled eggs, or mini baked omelets, juice, French Press pot of coffee, with freshly ground Saltspring Island coffee, and a variety of specialty teas to choose from. Walnut hardwood flooring with radiant underfloor heating, by Geothermal provide warmth and comfort throughout the Manor, as well as a cosy gas fireplace in the sitting room, and the HD flatscreen TV, cable, DVD player in each bedroom, (one can be moved to sittingroom) and WiFi to keep you connected and entertained while not exploring the outdoors. Other amenities include luxurious, and fluffy robes to relax in, coffee maker, kettle, fridge, toaster, microwave, dishes, glasses, and utensils. Country Bay Manor is a Bed and Breakfast, so there is no guest BBQ, or cooking facility, other than the microwave.

In the bathroom, Intelligent Nutrients PureLux shampoo, conditioner, and harmonic body wash are provided to give you a spa like experience!

 

Attractions in the area are numerous, with many golf courses, Provincial Parks, beaches, Artisans, markets, restaurants and coffee shops close by. From Powder Point Road, take a nearby short hike up The Notch, to admire Garry Oak, and Arbutus trees, and spectacular views of Nanoose Bay, the Strait of Georgia, and across to the mainland. The Enos Lake trail entrance is in the same area, and the recently acquired Moorecroft Regional Park, has amazing trails through forest, and along rocky shores. These trails, and many more hidden gems are all in beautiful Nanoose Bay, and is also home to Fairwinds Golf Course, and Schooner Cove Marina. The convenience of having a Supermarket, Pharmacy, Bank, and P.O. is only a few minutes away at the Red Gap Shopping Centre. B&B is centrally located between Nanaimo, Parksville, Errington, Coombs, French Creek, and Qualicum Beach, and all attractions are within 5-30 minutes away, including Cathedral Grove (old growth Forest), Englishman River Falls, Rathtrevor Beach, and Goats on the Roof Market, at Coombs.  

 

Your host, Elaine Cowan, can provide you with information and directions for the major attractions, and point out the local hidden gems as well. 

 

The Bed and Breakfast is also home to Lainey's Bouquets, a small farm where you can purchase beautiful flower bouquets arranged by your host, and farm-fresh eggs provided by free-range hens.
